Three rides. One connected coastline.
Wollongong sits at the centre of 72 km of connected coastal riding between Thirroul and Kiama. Three verified routes let you head north or south, choose an easy day ride or join sections together for a longer coastal adventure.
The scenery keeps changing as urban waterfronts give way to beaches, headlands, harbours, ocean pools and laid back coastal communities. Use the individual ride guides to plan each section and choose how far you want to go.
Pack your swimmers because several ocean rock pools are free to use, with changing facilities and cold showers available at selected locations. You can also bring a few snags (sausages) and fire up one of the free gas barbecues for an easy lunch beside the coast.
Water refill stations, shaded picnic areas and the all important public toilets are dotted along the cycleway. There are also plenty of cycle friendly cafés where you can lock up your bike, grab a coffee and take in the view.
